If you were hoping to play some PlayStation games on Friday night, you might have discovered last night that PSN was down, ruining your plans. There is some bad news, but I thought things would be fixed by this morning.

After 14 hours, psn down; updates regarding when it will be corrected or the cause of this have not been provided. The PSN service page states, "some services are experiencing issues," although seemingly all services are experiencing the red "dead" light. Playing games, movies, the store, everything of it—sign-in. Though occasionally just sections go down, this is a complete blackout. And a long one as well.

tweeting merely "We are aware that some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN (playstation network status twitter)" and directly gamers to the page below, the PlayStation support account has not been quite useful. That was eleven hours ago; updates since then have not been given.
